After many years in a high-pressure competitive corporate career started to take its toll, Erin was amazed by how effectively acupuncture addressed her health concerns. She was so curious to understand it and why it worked, she went back to graduate school to do just that. Erin earned her Doctorate of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Specialization (DAcCHM) at Maryland University of Integrative Health and completed an externship at the Kaufmann Cancer Center, in Bel Air, MD, before opening Soapstone Valley Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. She offers acupuncture and herbal medicine in Rockville and Columbia, MD and provides monthly herbal consultations in Annapolis, MD as well.

Erin loves her work and sharing the power of East Asian Medicine with other people. She especially enjoys working with patients who are new to acupuncture and herbal medicine, striving to take the mystery and mysticism out of the work. Her goal is not only to help her patients feel better, but to help them understand why the treatments are helping.
